In other news…
Wednesday: Carrying on from yesterday’s entry: After a shower I closed the back room door, to keep the noise low lest the frilly knickered lizard hear from her slumbers, and secretly dialled the number of another woman…my call connected, and who should be on the other end, but Mum! I sang her Happy Birthday, doubtless out of tune, given that I am tone deaf, or so I’m told – I sound great to me.
Today, a mere 78 years ago, Mum was born in King Edward Hospital in Subiaco. She is back at Broomehill with Helena and Phamajames (pronounced ‘famaa zhamay’ = farmer James).
I finally got to slide in between the low thread count poly cottons, as the alabaster dragon was arising, about ten.
More story yet to be written, including the fashion faux pas of ABC Lateline’s Leigh Sales… Check back and be scandalized…
